Professor Adik Levin is the author of Humane neonatal Care Initiative which has created interest in the whole world.

The initiative was started in the end of the 70s and it aims to protect the children’s rights in the hospital. The infant care system worked out and practised in Tallinn Children’s Hospital enables mothers to spend 24 hours a day together with their newborn (premature) babies, breastfeeding and nursing them, supporting them thus during one of the most critical periods of their lives
